When you say it has a deep tone, how exactly do you mean? Is it just a straight deep tone that varies with engine rpm? Is there any kind of individual cylinder noise at higher rpm, or does it just stay deep? I run a dual setup with a 40 series flowmasters on each pipe and an h-pipe kind of in the middle of the truck, just past the tranny. At times it sounds really good, but at other times I don't like it at all. I would much rather have it sound like a Viper with just a tone and not all the engine noise associated with a lot of the "free flow" exhaust systems. While that may sound great with a nice smallblock, with a v10 it just doesn't seem to. But at the same time I want it to be loud. I'm still relatively young, and am not ready to give up my loud exhaust phase yet. Also, what condition are your cats in, or do you even run any? Here, since there are not really any emmisions laws yet, I run the catylitic converter bypass pipes available from Magnum Performance most of the year except for inspection time. They are supposed to be for offroad use only, but I do get better mileage when I use them on the highway.
