Make sure to use a balance pipe, or your truck will sound like two five cylinder cars. Other than that, I am about to intall a dynomax twin muffler setup after
the balance pipe, and I'm hoping for a lower rumble and more power (MOPAR!).

Also, if you are going with a single muffler, that takes care of the two five cylinder engine sound problem. It will also be lighter, and easier to install.
Look on Jeg's or Summit's websites and pick a good brand name out. They will give you an idea of how much noise each one makes.

Flowmaster recommends the 70 Series part number 524703. It's a dual in, single out muffler. They also offer a dual in, dual out muffler that is part
number 524704. This is the muffler I will probably end up putting on my truck. This is supposed to be the only one that sounds good on the V10... it's
not real loud but gives a good rumble.

after tax returns this year one of the few upgrades i plan on buying aside from msd wires and E3 plugs for my 98 2500 will be a cherry bomb vortex exhaust kit.
http://tinyurl.com/df8mbj this is the kit i plan on buying. its cheap and comes from a company know for excellent
sounding exhaust kits.

I installed my Dynomax dual exhaust kit with an H pipe about three weeks ago. I have found it to be very quiet. Just a low rumble at idle similar to a stock
V8, and a deep mellow sound under load at 1500 to 1600 RPM. All other RPMs are just quiet as can be. Noticed about a 1-3 MPG difference too!
