I know alot of you guys on here have done some engine mods but what have you done to your transmission. i hear from everyone the Dodge auto trans is crap and i
am starting to think the same thing. My 1998 has plenty of engine power but i don't think much of it gets to the ground. Has anyone on here done any decent
tranny mods?

I beg to differ. If the tranny is properly maintained with filters, ATF +4 fluid only, and NO FLUSHES, just drain and refill, the tranny is all right. Flushing
a transmission will erode your clutch friction materials and you will end up with loads of problems. In any case, the shift points, pressures etc are
controlled by the PCM. Getting into the PCM with a controller (i.e. SCT) will allow for transmission tuning. SCT has programs for similar year V8's that
will work on the V10, but tuners are far and few between; seems the Ford and GM trucks are more popular to tune. I've been looking for a while, and I may
have found one guy in Salt Lake city that can tune on the dyno.

I have heard extremely good things about torque converters and shift kits. My uncle has a 1998 12v with 320,000 on the stock auto and hasn't had it
rebuilt. Just had a shift kit put in it when he bought it. He hasn't done any performance to the engine either though. I would also be interested in the
tuner after hearing some real numbers.
